Jason Briner is a Professor of Earth Sciences at the University at Buffalo. He holds a PhD from the University of Colorado. His studies on the history of ice sheets, glaciers and sea level rise have appeared in numerous journal articles. He applies a broad tool kit of geological methods to reconstruct the climate and ice history in areas that include Alaska, Norway and Greenland, where student training is a core mission. He is a Fellow of the Geological Society of America and AAAS.
