Vanna is the Acting Branch Director for the Collaborative Observations, Research, and Engineering Branch at the NOAA/OAR National Severe Storms Laboratory. Her research interests revolve around storm electrification, ranging from lightning predictability to improving lightning observations to the utility of lightning data in monitoring storm evolution.
