Larisa Goncharenko is an Assistant Director and a Research Scientist at MIT Haystack Observatory, a multidisciplinary radio and remote sensing center. Goncharenko's research interests include physics of thermosphere and ionosphere; whole atmosphere coupling studies; waves and tides in the upper atmosphere; and basic and applied space weather. L. Goncharenko is a member of the National Academies of Science Committee on Solar and Space Physics (2023+).
