Laura Guertin holds a BA in Geology from Bucknell University and a PhD in Marine Geology & Geophysics from the University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School of Marine & Atmospheric Science. She is a Professor of Earth Science at Penn State Brandywine (Media, PA) and researches how educational technology can engage students and improve scientific/information/digital literacies in introductory-level general education courses. She is a fan of national parks, anything relating to the ocean, the intersections of science and art for storytelling, and blogging (you can find her in the AGU Blogosphere at GeoEd Trek).
