Helen Czerski
Professor of Environment and Society, University College London
Dr Helen Czerski is a physicist and oceanographer, and a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at UCL. Her research focus is the physics of breaking waves and bubbles at the ocean surface, especially in high wind conditions, and she carries out experiments both in the laboratory and the open ocean. She is also a writer (books: Storm in a Teacup and Blue Machine) and broadcaster, and co-hosts BBC Radio 4's regular climate and environment show Rare Earth.
