Valerio Lucarini
Professor of Applied Mathematics, University of Leicester
Valerio Lucarini is professor of Applied Mathematics at the University of Leicester, where he coordinates the activities in Computational Modelling. He supervised 15 PDRAs and 15 PhD students. He is the author of more than 170 publications including two monographs. He received the 2020 Richardson Medal from EGU, the 2018 LMS Whitehead Prize, the 2022 SIAM MPE Award, & the 2024 IUGG Keilis-Borok medal. He is an APS fellow and an IPCC lead author. He delivered the 2021 AGU Lorenz lecture.
