Distinguished Visiting Scientist, Schmidt Sciences
Dr. Christa D. Peters-Lidard is a hydrologist and Earth system scientist recognized for advancing land surface modeling, data assimilation, Earth observations, and water-cycle prediction. Over her 24-year career at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, she held several senior leadership roles, including Chief of the Hydrological Sciences Laboratory and Director of Sciences and Exploration. She is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and a Fellow of AGU, AMS, and AAAS.
