I am interested on all topics related to geomagnetism, including geomagnetic models, the advanced characterization of magnetic minerals, magnetotactic bacteria, the study of environmental and magnetic recording mechanisms in sediments and methods to disentangle them. I currently serve as Head of the Department of Geophysics and the Conrad Observatory at GeoSphere Austria and I am Associated Editor for Journal of Geophysical Research.
