AGU offers hardship waivers for 2026 membership dues for individuals whose scientific work has been directly disrupted due to job loss or loss of funding. AGU membership includes all the benefits listed in the dropdown on this page, including discounted registration to AGU meetings, access to AGU’s Grant Finder and mentoring networks and more.
This waiver is intended for those experiencing acute, recent hardship — especially U.S.-based scientists affected by federal government decisions — though it is open globally to those facing similar challenges.
Please only proceed if your ability to continue scientific work has been significantly impacted.
We cannot offer refunds for pre-paid 2026 dues.
