Application Package Requirements

A complete application package consists of the following:
PROPOSAL NARRATIVE

A proposal narrative (not to exceed 1 page) comprised of an executive summary and statement of purpose including a stated research objective, scientific merit, research methods and plan.

PERSNOAL STATEMENT 

A personal statement (not to exceed 1 page) from the candidate illustrating the merit of the project and other funding sources. 

CV and TRANSCRIPTS

The applicant's current curriculum vitae and academic transcripts (unofficial transcripts are acceptable); all transcripts should be uploaded as a single PDF file.

BUDGET

A budget (not to exceed 1 page) for the proposed project/research objective that includes financial and equipment needs, and a brief budget justification.

LETTERS OF SUPPORT

Two letters of support (not to exceed 2 pages, each) from the applicant's PhD advisor and one from their academic advisor that includes commentary on the proposed research, budget, and applicant qualifications. The letters should also state whether or not the applicant is in good academic standing.

AGU reserves the right to reject, without review, applications that do meet all eligibility requirements.
