2026 AGU Elections

Board of Directors

Board candidates will compete for 4 open positions on the Board in this year’s election: President-Elect and three Directors. AGU’s rotation strategy is designed to retain about 50% of elected members each term to ensure leadership continuity. Continuing members for the 2025–2026 term include the current AGU President and the President-Elect in their new positions, the General Secretary, the International Secretary, three Directors and the Executive Director/CEO (nonvoting).

The AGU Board approved presenting a single AGU President-Elect candidate for election this year in response to the external environment, trends within the association community, and declining voter participation in AGU elections. You can read more about this decision on the Election FAQs page or the From the Prow post.
