I do research in structural geology, basin tectonics, geomechanics, and applied geophysics. My current interests are in 1.) the structure and processes of early-stage continental rifting [Natural Laboratories: East Africa, Basin & Range, and Rio Grande Rift], and 2.) the structural styles and reactivation mechanics of basement-rooted faults associated with induced seismicity [Natural Laboratory: Central U.S.], and 3.) Intraplate Seismicity [Natural Laboratories: West, East, and southern Africa].
