Austin Student Travel Grant Challenge

Thanks to you and the entire AGU community, we have showed our dedication to the next generation of scientists like never before! We've raised nearly $600,000 towards our $1 million goal for the Austin Student Travel Grant Endowment. All donations to the fund through the end of December will be matched by Jamie Austin so we are asking for everyone to help us on this final sprint toward the finish line!

During Fall Meeting, stop by an Austin Challenge Giving Counter or AGU Central to purchase special AGU-themed merchandise to benefit the Austin Student Travel Grant Challenge. You can also make an easy $10 donation by texting AUSTIN to the number 20222.

Local San Francisco restaurants are joining the Austin challenge

We are please to announce that through the support of SF Travel, a number of San Francisco restaurants have offered to support the Austin Challenge during the week of Fall Meeting 2019 by offering their patrons the opportunity to add a donation to the Austin Student Travel Endowment to their bill. Please show your thanks for their support by sharing a meal at one of the following locations during your stay in San Francisco!

"Much more than an annual science meeting"

AGU members know the importance of Fall Meeting attendance. Whether attending for the first-time or as a lifelong member, Fall Meeting is an unmatched experience for Earth and space science. Ask one hundred AGU members "Why Fall Meeting?" and you will get one hundred answers, but they will all share a common theme: they wouldn't be the scientists they are today without Fall Meeting. This is why the Austin Endowment for Student Travel is so critical, because it is shaping the scientific community of tomorrow today.

Read on for Fall Meeting memories and to learn why AGU members are joining the Austin Challenge.
