The Board is chaired by our president, who along with AGU’s executive director/CEO, president-elect, and Council vice chair serves on both the Board and Council to ensure consistency, continuity and communication throughout AGU leadership.
AGU’s Board meets in-person three times a year, in April, September, and December. In between meetings, the Executive Committee of the Board meets as needed to conduct AGU’s affairs. The Executive Committee is comprised of the president, president-elect, past president, general secretary, international secretary plus the executive director/CEO, who is a nonvoting member.
