AGU COMMITTEES

Board, Council, and Shared Committees

Hundreds of AGU members volunteer their time and expertise by serving on committees and task forces that work on behalf of the Board, Council, or both, to strengthen the Earth and space science community.

Several committees and task forces that work on behalf of the AGU Board of Directors are chaired by Board members; others report jointly to the Board and Council because their charge cuts across organizational, business, and science functions. AGU’s Council oversees the Honors and Recognition Committee and all honors selection committees.
